May 6, 2014: Deborah Parker, 58, of Palmer, Massachusetts, has died after sustaining serious personal injuries in a car accident. Parker was driving a sedan when she allegedly crossed the center line and struck another vehicle, which was occupied by Ryan Fabrycki, 22, and Conor Fabrycki, 21, both of Sturbridge, Massachusetts. The accident happened at approximately 12:00 a.m. on Sunday in the northbound lane of Route 148 in Sturbridge.

Framingham, Massachusetts Mass Pike Accident Leaves Two Connecticut Residents Dead
April 18, 2014 – William Barnett, 20, and Alyssa Grenier, 19, both of Stafford Springs, Connecticut have died as the result of serious personal injuries sustained in a car accident. Barnett was driving a minivan, which was struck by a tractor trailer. Grenier was a passenger in the van. The accident occurred at approximately 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday in the eastbound lanes of the Massachusetts Turnpike in Framingham.
According to police, Barnett’s van spun out of control prior to the truck colliding with the passenger’s side of the vehicle. Both Barnett and Grenier were pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver was taken by ambulance to Metro West Medical Center, where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Police have not yet determined the cause of the accident, but are considering weather as a contributing factor. The accident remains under investigation by the Massachusetts State Police. Continue reading
Springfield, Massachusetts: Two Injured and One Arrested after I-91 Accident
April 1, 2014: Sterling Hall, 57, of Springfield, Massachusetts, and his passenger Kyle Clini, 22, of Ludlow, sustained serious personal injuries in an auto accident on Interstate 91 on Sunday. Julio Perez, 27, also of Springfield struck Hall’s vehicle, but didn’t remain at the scene of the accident. The crash took place between exits 3 and 4 in the northbound lane of I-91 at approximately 1:00 a.m.
Once Hall’s car came to a rest against a guard rail, Clini got out to inspect the damage and was hit by another driver, who then crashed into the car, while Hall was still seated. Shortly after the second accident Hall and Clini were transported to Baystate Medical Center and treated for their injuries.
Brockton, Massachusetts: Man Dies in Tragic Accident
March 24, 2014: Morris Webb, 42, of Brockton, Massachusetts, has died after sustaining serious personal injuries in an auto accident in Brockton at approximately 1:15 a.m. on Saturday. Joshua Cooper, 25, also of Brockton, was operating a vehicle on Main Street when he allegedly ran a red light and crashed into the side of Webb’s car, which was traveling on Legion Parkway.
The impact caused Webb’s vehicle to roll over and ejected him in the process. He was transported to Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Cooper and his passenger were also injured and taken to Brockton Hospital.
No criminal charges have been filed yet and the accident is currently under investigation by the Massachusetts State Police Accident Reconstruction Team and the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office.
Middleborough, Massachusetts: Two Die in Head On Collision
March 14, 2014: Dennis Canning, 64, of Middleborough, Massachusetts, and Kimberly Bebare, 30, of Ames, Iowa, died on Tuesday, as a result of serous personal injuries sustained in a head on collision. The crash reportedly took place between 1:00 and 1:30 p.m. on Route 44 in Middleborough, near a Holiday Inn Express hotel.
Canning and Bebare were operating separate vehicles in opposite directions, prior to the collision. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. While neither driver had any passengers, a dog in Bebare’s car survived and remains in the care of Middleborough’s animal control officer.
Police are currently investigating the cause of the accident.

Woburn, Massachusetts: Westwood Man Dies in Crash on Interstate 93 North
February 10, 2014: Xudong Yang, 57, of Westwood, Massachusetts has died after sustaining serious personal injuries in an auto accident in Woburn last Tuesday. Yang was reportedly operating the vehicle northbound on Interstate 93 near exit 37C when he abruptly swerved out of the lane and struck a commercial box truck. Both vehicles collided with the guardrail, which caused the truck to roll over.
Yang was pronounced dead at the scene due to the severity of his injuries. The driver of the truck, a 34 year-old man from South Dartmouth, suffered only minor injuries and was not taken to a hospital.
It is currently unknown what caused Yang to leave his lane. The crash remains under investigation by the Massachusetts State Police and the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office.

Sturbridge, Massachusetts: Southbridge Woman Dies in a Tragic Auto Accident
January 13, 2014: Christina Mageau, 22, of Southbridge, Massachusetts has died as the result of serious personal injuries sustained in a car accident on Whittemore Road in Sturbridge. Her husband, Alex Mageau, 25, was a passenger in the vehicle and was also injured. The accident occurred at approximately 1:00 a.m. on Friday.
According to police, Mrs. Mageau lost control of the car, crossed into the oncoming lane and hit a drainage culvert, which caused the car to overturn. Mr. and Mrs. Mageau were both ejected from the vehicle.
Mrs. Mageau was taken to Harrington Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. Mr. Mageau was transported to UMass Memorial Medical Center, where he was treated for his injuries and subsequently released.
The crash is being investigated by the Sturbridge Police Department and the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council reconstruction team.

Norwood, Massachusetts Seven Car Crash Ends in Tragedy
January 3, 2014 – Elefthria Pantekidis, 71, of Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, has died as the result of serious personal injuries sustained as a passenger in a vehicle involved in a seven car pile up on Route 95 Northbound. According to Police, Milton McCarthy, 23, from Dorchester, lost control of his vehicle, hit a guardrail, and spun towards oncoming traffic causing three subsequent collisions. The accident occurred at approximately 2:09 a.m. on Wednesday near the Neponset Avenue exit in Norwood.
Pantekidis was a passenger in a sedan operated by Haralambos Kosmidis, 75, also of Jamaica Plain. Pantekidis was transported to Norwood Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. McCarthy was taken to Boston Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition.
Kosmidis and another of his passengers, Georgios Pantekidis, 78, of Jamaica Plain, were also treated at Norwood Hospital. A fourth passenger, Elpida Kismidis, 68, of Jamaica Plain, was taken to Boston Medical Center. McCarthy’s passenger, Kendell Thompson, 25, of Boston, was not injured in the crash.
Bellingham, Massachusetts Car Accident on Interstate 495 Injures Two
December 17, 2013- A 71 year old Conway, Massachusetts woman, and her passenger, a 66 year old Hatfield woman, sustained serious personal injuries when their sedan was involved in a car accident with an SUV driven by Jason Gisore, 22, of Randolph. The accident occurred on Interstate 495 North just past exit 18 at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
According to the police, the SUV was traveling at a high rate of speed in the southbound lanes, when it crossed the median and collided with the car, which was headed north. The two women were transported to a local hospital and were treated for their injuries, which were not considered to be life threatening. Gisore was not injured in the accident, but his SUV caught fire and had to be put out by the Bellingham Fire Department.
The Massachusetts State Police continue to investigate the case of the accident, but have stated that speed was a factor. Gisore was cited for speeding and a marked lanes violation.

Easthampton, Massachusetts: Head on Collision Leaves Two Dead, Three Injured
December 10, 2013 – Charles Hoffman, 71, of Easthampton, Massachusetts has died as the result of serious personal injuries sustained when his pickup was involved in a head car crash with a van driven by Mauricio Velasquez, 32, of Springfield. Velasquez’ three year old daughter, who was a passenger in the van him, also died. The accident occurred on Hendrick Street in Easthampton at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Hoffman and the three year old girl were transported by ambulance to Baystate Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead upon their arrival to the hospital. Hoffman’s wife, Janice Hoffman, 69, Velasquez, and another passenger in his car, Milder Velasquez, 25, were also taken to Baystate and treated for their injuries. Janice Hoffman remains in critical condition.
The Northwestern’s District Attorney’s Office stated Hoffman’s pickup was struck when Velazquez lost control of his van, hit the guard rail and crossed over the center line into oncoming traffic. Velasquez has been charged with several offenses, including motor vehicle homicide while under the influence of alcohol in violation of G.L. c. 90 § 24G, two counts of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol resulting in serious injury in violation of G.L. c. 90 § 24L, and several civil traffic violations.
Mr. Velasquez was arraigned on Monday in Springfield District Court and his bail was set at $100,000.
