December 9, 2015: Mervyn Justin, 44, of Framingham, Massachusetts, has died as the result of a serious personal injuries sustained, when his motorcycle was involved in an accident with an automobile. The accident occurred at around 11:00 p.m. on Sunday at the intersection of Gallivan Boulevard and Adams Street in the Dorchester section of Boston.

Randolph, Massachusetts: 26 Year Old Dies in Motorcycle Accident
August 18, 2015: Patrick Beauvil, 26, from Randolph, Massachusetts has died as the result of a serious personal injury sustained, when his motorcycle was involved in a collision with a car. The driver’s identity has not yet been released. The accident occurred around 8:25 a.m. on Tuesday, at the intersection of High and Reed Streets in Randolph, near the Donovan Elementary School.
Woburn, Massachusetts: Two Dead after Motorcycle Collides with Vehicle on Route 9
July 7, 2015: Victoria Tucker, 22, from Woburn, Massachusetts, and Darius Theriault, 27, from Framingham, died when the motorcycle Theriault was operating, collided with the rear end of a car, which was driven by Libo Chen, 28, of Shrewsbury. The accident occurred at approximately 6:24 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of Route 9 near Shrewsbury Commons.
Members of the Shrewsbury Fire Department responded to the accident scene, where Tucker was pronounced dead. Theriault was transported to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, where he later died. Chen was not injured in the accident.
The accident remains under investigation by the Shrewsbury Police Department, Westborough Police Department, and the District Attorney’s Office for Worcester County.
Veteran Killed in Holyoke Motorcycle Crash
October 13, 2014 – Patrick Rud, 32, of Holyoke, Massachusetts, has died as the result of serious personal injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash. The accident occurred on Friday, October 3, 2014, at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Route 5 in Holyoke.

Massachusetts Avenue Bridge Accident Leaves Motorcyclist Dead
June 19, 2012 – Vail Cerullo, 20, of Chester Springs, Pennsylvania, has died as the result of serious personal injuries sustained while operating his motorcycle. According to the Massachusetts State Police, a truck, operated by an unidentified 18 year old Gloucester man, made an improper turn in front of Cerullo’s motorcycle. Cerullo then collided with the truck, fell to the ground, and was run over by an SUV. The accident occurred on the Massachusetts Avenue Bridge crossing from Boston to Cambridge at around 2:25 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon.
Cerullo was transported to Brigham & Women’s Hospital, where he later died. The truck driver was taken to Cambridge Hospital, where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the SUV was not injured.
No charges have been filed and the accident remains under investigation by the State Police. However, alcohol does not appear to have contribute to the crash.

Springfield, Massachusetts Motorcycle Accident Leaves Man Dead
June 13, 2012 – Luis Gonzalez, 33, of Springfield, Massachusetts, has died as the result of serious personal injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. The accident occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Saturday at the intersection of Wilbraham Road and Parker Street in Springfield.
Gonzalez and another motorcyclist were traveling together when a car drove in front of them to turn into a pharmacy on Wilbraham Road. Both men went into a slide to avoid a collision.
Gonzalez was transported by ambulance to Baystate Medical Center, where he later died. The other man was not seriously injured.
No charges have been filed to date, and the accident remains under investigation.

Hadley, Massachusetts Motorcycle Accident Kills One, Injures Two
April 18, 2012 – Daniel Haley, 24, from Pittsfield, Massachusetts, has died as a result of serious personal injuries sustained when his motorcycle was struck by a car traveling in the wrong direction on Route 116 in Hadley. Brittini Benton, 24, of Sunderland, was operating the vehicle that hit Haley’s motorcycle. Jon Weeks, 57, from Leyden, was operating a second car, which was involved in the crash. The accident occurred at approximately 2:20 a.m. on Saturday.
According to police, Benton was traveling northbound in the southbound lane of Route 116 prior to the collision. Haley was pronounced dead at the scene. Benton and Weeks were also both injured in the accident. Benton was transported by a medical helicopter and Weeks was taken by ambulance to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.
Haley was a senior at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and was set to graduate in May.
No criminal charges have been filed as of Monday. The accident remains under investigation by the Massachusetts State Police and the Hadley Police Department.

Newton, Massachusetts: Retired Harvard Professor Involved in Crash
October 14, 2010 – Marcia Kearney, 54, from Northampton, Massachusetts has died as a result of serious personal injuries sustained in an accident involving her motor scooter. Detlev Vagts, 81, from Cambridge and a retired Harvard Law Professor, apparently crashed into Kearney’s Vespa scooter on Ward Street in Newton. The accident occurred on July 8th, but Vagts was charged with motor vehicle homicide on Wednesday.
Apparently, Kearney was thrown approximately 80 feet from the bike after the collision. She later died in a Boston hospital. According to the prosecutor, Vagts was partially in the wrong lane on Ward Street prior to hitting Kearney’s scooter.
Vagts was a law professor at Harvard for more than 40 years before retiring in 2005. No court date has been set.

Lowell, Massachusetts Off Duty Police Officer Dies After Motorcycle Accident
September 14, 2010 – Patrick Johnson, 31, a Lowell, Massachusetts police officer, has died as a result of serious personal injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident that occurred while he was off-duty. Theary Chan, 26, from Lowell, allegedly ran a stop sign and collided with Johnson’s motorcycle sending the officer about 50 feet. The accident happened at the intersection of Princeton Boulevard and Foster Street in Lowell on Saturday morning.
Neighbors and witnesses began performing CPR on Johnson before he was taken to Lowell General Hospital, where he later passed away. Johnson served six years with the Lowell Police Department and was a former U.S. Marine. He leaves behind a wife and a young son and daughter.
Chan was arrested and charged with motor vehicle homicide while operating under the influence, an open container violation and failure to stop at a stop sign. Chan was arraigned on Monday in Lowell District Court where he plead not guilty. A status hearing is scheduled for October 13th.
The accident remains under investigation.
