June 19, 2012 – Vail Cerullo, 20, of Chester Springs, Pennsylvania, has died as the result of serious personal injuries sustained while operating his motorcycle. According to the Massachusetts State Police, a truck, operated by an unidentified 18 year old Gloucester man, made an improper turn in front of Cerullo’s motorcycle. Cerullo then collided with the truck, fell to the ground, and was run over by an SUV. The accident occurred on the Massachusetts Avenue Bridge crossing from Boston to Cambridge at around 2:25 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon.

Cerullo was transported to Brigham & Women’s Hospital, where he later died. The truck driver was taken to Cambridge Hospital, where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the SUV was not injured.

No charges have been filed and the accident remains under investigation by the State Police. However, alcohol does not appear to have contribute to the crash.

June 13, 2012 – Luis Gonzalez, 33, of Springfield, Massachusetts, has died as the result of serious personal injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. The accident occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Saturday at the intersection of Wilbraham Road and Parker Street in Springfield.

Gonzalez and another motorcyclist were traveling together when a car drove in front of them to turn into a pharmacy on Wilbraham Road. Both men went into a slide to avoid a collision.

Gonzalez was transported by ambulance to Baystate Medical Center, where he later died. The other man was not seriously injured.

No charges have been filed to date, and the accident remains under investigation.

May 25, 2012 – Marie Stewart, 71, of Everett, Massachusetts, has sustained serious personal injuries when she was hit by a car while working as a school crossing guard. John Mitchell, 67, was operating the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority pickup truck that struck Stewart. The accident occurred on Wednesday morning on Ferry Street in Everett.

Stewart was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital, where he condition is unknown. According to a witness, Stewart was conscious when she left the scene. Mitchell was taken to Whidden Memorial Hospital for observation.

Authorities have not brought criminal charges against Mitchell as of this date. The cause of the accident is unknown and remains under investigation.

May 17, 2012 – Ashley Goetz, 26, of Easthampton, Massachusetts, has died as a result of serious personal injuries sustained in a single car accident. According to police, Goetz lost control of her vehicle, which then collided with a utility pole and burst into flames. The accident occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Route 202 in Belchertown just north of Allen Road.

Goetz’ vehicle was still on fire when authorities arrived at the scene, where she was pronounced dead. Goetz was originally from Eagan, Minnesota and relocated to Easthampton to pursue a masters degree at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She was also in the midst of writing two novels.

The cause of the accident is unknown and remains under investigation by the Massachusetts State Police and the Belchertown Police Department.

May 9, 2012 – Michelle Rheaume, 29, of Salem, Massachusetts, has sustained serious personal injuries in a two car crash. Vincent Aleci, 61, from Haverhill, allegedly lost control of his vehicle and crashed into Rheaume’s car. The accident occurred just before 1 p.m. on Tuesday at the intersection of Zachary’s Crossing and Route 111 in Salem.

According to police, Rheaume was transported to Lawrence General Hospital and then transferred by medical helicopter to a Boston hospital, where she remains in life threatening condition. Aleci sustained minor scratches to his hands, but no other injuries.

Police have stated Aleci was at fault and charges are expected to be filed. However, they do no suspect that he was impaired. The accident remains under investigation by the Salem Police Department Technical Accident Reconstruction team.

May 4, 2012 – Arjens Marcial Santiago, 21, and a 19 year old Swansea resident sustained serious personal injuries while operating separate vehicles involved a three car accident. Randy Rauchle, 59, from Middletown, Rhode Island, was operating the third vehicle, but was not injured in the crash. The accident occurred on Route 24 southbound in Fall River near the President Avenue exit at around 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

Santiago was transported to Charlton Memorial Hospital in New Bedford. The unidentified Swansea resident was taken to Saint Anne’s Hospital in Fall River.

All lanes of traffic remained closed until approximately 4:15 p.m. The cause of the accident remains under investigation by the Massachusetts State Police.

April 18, 2012 – Daniel Haley, 24, from Pittsfield, Massachusetts, has died as a result of serious personal injuries sustained when his motorcycle was struck by a car traveling in the wrong direction on Route 116 in Hadley. Brittini Benton, 24, of Sunderland, was operating the vehicle that hit Haley’s motorcycle. Jon Weeks, 57, from Leyden, was operating a second car, which was involved in the crash. The accident occurred at approximately 2:20 a.m. on Saturday.

According to police, Benton was traveling northbound in the southbound lane of Route 116 prior to the collision. Haley was pronounced dead at the scene. Benton and Weeks were also both injured in the accident. Benton was transported by a medical helicopter and Weeks was taken by ambulance to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.

Haley was a senior at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and was set to graduate in May.

No criminal charges have been filed as of Monday. The accident remains under investigation by the Massachusetts State Police and the Hadley Police Department.

April 12, 2012 – Eric Gryzboski, 36, of Norton, has died as a result of serious personal injuries sustained in a single car accident. According to police, Gryzboski was traveling westbound on Foundry Street in Easton when he lost control of his vehicle and collided into a tree. The accident occurred at around 10:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

Members of the Easton Fire Department extricated Gryzboski from the vehicle. He was transported to Caritas Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton, where he later died.

The Massachusetts State Police were the first to arrive on the scene. The accident remains under investigation by the State Police and the Easton Police Department.

March 27, 2012 – Nancy Kheam, 19, of Lowell, Massachusetts has died as a result of serious personal injuries sustained as a passenger in a single car accident in Boxborough. Kurt Boyd, 21, from Westford, was the operator of the vehicle and Kayla Delisi, 22, from Salem, and Dana Kelley, 20, of Westford, were other passengers. The accident occurred at approximately 3:23 a.m. on Sunday on Interstate 495, prior to Route 2.

According to police, Boyd lost control of the vehicle causing it to collide with a guardrail. Kheam was pronounced dead at the scene. Delisi was transported to Emerson Hospital in Concord, where she was treated for her injuries. Boyd and Kelley were not injured in the crash.

According to reports, Kheam and Delisi were both sitting in the back seat and were not wearing seat belts. Both Boyd and Kelley were seated in the front of the vehicle and were wearing safety belts.

The accident remains under investigation.

March 6, 2012 – Harold Sisson III, 39, from Westport, Massachusetts, has sustained serious personal injuries when his tractor trailer rolled over on Route 24. An unidentified second driver was also injured in the accident. The crash occurred when Sisson was traveling southbound on Route 24 near exit 8 in Freetown.

According to police, Sisson lost control of his vehicle causing it to roll over. The second driver’s vehicle ended up in the woods and badly damaged. Sisson was taken to Rhode Island Hospital, where he is being treated for serious injuries. The other driver was transported to Charlton Memorial Hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries.

Police are unsure what caused the accident and it remains under investigation.
