June 17, 2014 – Wesley Schutt, 62, of the Feeding Hills section of Agawam, Massachusetts, has died as the result of serious personal injuries sustained in an auto accident. The accident occurred on Saturday at approximately 4:40 p.m. near the Meadows Section of Route 116 in South Hadley.
According to the Northwestern District Attorney’s office, Schutt was a passenger in a car, which was traveling on Route 116, when the vehicle suddenly left the roadway and crashed into grove of pine trees. The identity of the driver has not yet been released, and it is unknown if he was injured in the crash. There were no other passengers in the vehicle.
The accident remains under investigation by the South Hadley Police, the Massachusetts State Police, and the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section Unit, but the driver is expected to be cited for the accident.
